Once we receive the completed application form we will immediately request references. Once your references have been returned and are satisfactory, you will be asked to come for an interview: this is really an informal chat, which gives you the chance to see the project and ask questions. A worker will then discuss the volunteering opportunities available to you.

Older Active People works with vulnerable Service Users and as such we take up references. Please give the names of two referees who we may write to.
Older Active People is discharging a social service function and is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) order 1975 and in this connection you are therefore obliged to disclose both current and spent convictions. Any convictions may not necessarily disbar you from being a volunteer.
